Ohana

We’ve had a lot going on here at the Zoo and I feel like I need to get some stuff off my chest.

Most of you know that we’ve had some serious problems with our neighbors. Well the past month things have gotten worse, so much worse. Because of this we’ve been trying to move, emphasis on the word trying. Things are not going so well, and this past week we’ve heard something along the lines of ‘well if you just got rid of the dogs you wouldn’t have to move’ and this isn’t the first time we’ve heard something similar.

I’m going to tell you why that isn’t even an option.

This is my family

This is Daine, she is my first baby.... She is my heart and soul in fur walking around outside my body

This is Daine, she is my first baby…. She is my heart and soul in fur walking around outside my body

She is peace She is love everlasting

This is Beka, she is healing and strength, she is everything I am not.

She is bravery She is change

This is Annie, even if she is a foster she is ours, she has a piece of our heart and we love her dearly.

This is Annie, even if she is a foster she is ours, she has a piece of our heart and we love her dearly.
She is hope
She is energy

This is Annie, even if she is a foster she is ours, she has a piece of our heart and we love her dearly

She is hope

She is energy

These are my children, they are my life, I could not live without them and though I know a day will come when they will leave me it will not be my choice, they will wait for me at rainbow bridge and I will see them again.

Without them I would not be who I am today, I would not have the friends I have, my family.

I will not leave them.

I will not abandon  them.

I. WILL. NOT. GIVE. UP.

They are not property

They are not mindless animals

They are living, breathing, beings with feelings and hearts so full of love.

To even suggest otherwise you dont know me at all, and that makes me sad, but I’m letting it go. I’m moving on.

One of my favorite Disney quotes suits this so well

Ohana means family, and family means NOBODY gets left behind or forgotten.

Ever.

That is all.

Love your family and your posts! So sorry about your SOB neighbor! Hope all works out and you can have a happy life and enjoy your “kids”! Prayers! ❤

  2. Well done, sweetheart. We love you.

  3. The Beka is the one I know more but I love all your furkids and I would be soo happy if I was your neighboor. Those people don’t know what they miss, furbabies make my life happier. Sending you and your furmily lots of POTP !

    • I think Beka is special to a lot of fans, and then I think everyone probably has a favorite 🙂
      Thank you so very much!

People with the attitude of “just get rid the dogs”, are the people who frighten me the most in this world….if you can look into a dogs eyes and not see its soul, then perhaps you are lacking one yourself. I admire your determenation to do what it takes to keep your family safe, although its a shame you must take such drastic financial measures such as moving to do so. May Karma bless your neighbors with a visit once all is said and done. (P.S. Teddy and Kai are my favorite, but dont tell the girls!!)

    • I think sometimes its more ignorance than anything, a lot of the older generations thats just the way they were raised, they dont know any different and some of them wont learn.
I just hope we can get it done!

      I wont tell 🙂
